The most prolific thespians of the 37th edition of Fajr Film Festival have been shortlisted on the sideline of the event.

The New Look section of the Fajr Filmfest has announced ten directorial debut movies with Hediyeh Tehrani, Linda Kiani and Babak Hamidiyan being named among the most prolific actors of the event.

Hediyeh Tehrani, whose movie career spans about 25 years, has an active presence in this year’s edition of the festival with Arash Lahouti’s directorial debut ‘Orange Days’ and stage director Homayoun Ghanizadeh’s ‘The Clown’.

The 38-year-old Linda Kiani, besides fellow busy lady Tehrani, has two movies set to premiere in 2018 Fajr gala, featuring in ‘Watching This Film is a Crime’ by Reza Zehtabchi as well as ‘Polo Coat’ which is a comedy by Mehdi Alimirzai.

The 'Damascus Time' star Babak Hamidiyan has certainly kept himself busy since he stepped down from his role in ‘Underwater Cypress’ in 2017.

For the 37th Fajr screening, Hamidiyan landed a recurring role on ‘Reverse’ by first-time actor/director Poulad Kimiaee and Ghanizadeh’s screen debut ‘The Clown’.

Hamidiyan also appeared to be the most prolific actor of the previous round of the festival by having four films in competition, including 'Damascus Time', ‘Underwater Cypress’, ‘Confiscation’ and ‘Nostalgia Celebration’.
